Bulking Up Tips: With Milk
I am going to show you some nice bulking up tips to put on muscle by using good ol’ milk, but first lets have a look at bulking.
There is a lot of buzz about at the minute about bulking. This is mainly due to the The 21-Day Fast Mass Building Program which was released this week. They are saying that bulking is unnecessary (in the traditional sense) and you can put on up to 20 pounds of muscle in 21 days.
This program uses something called a rebound effect. This is where you diet for a period then go on a bulking phase after. The reason being that your body soaks up lots of nutrients after periods of dieting. So in theory you can put on more muscle after dieting. Sounds good doesn’t it?
To be fair there is a lot of evidence and real world research to prove that this rebound effect is a very effective way of building muscle. I read about this great bulking up tips online, which I have been testing myself recently. It is for using milk as a very simple and effective way to bulk up and put on lean muscle mass. The tip is from a very respected and experienced trainer called Mark Rippetoe.
He stated that for severely underweight men; you should drink a gallon (3.8 litres) of whole milk a day, while eating as normally. This gives you the extra calories, protein, carbs etc, needed to put on muscle.
It is a very easy convenient way of bulking without following a strict bulking diet plan. Mark said that this tips has worked better than any other bulking tip he has used on the thousands of people he has trained.
At present I am drink half a gallon (2 litres) to see how that goes, then I am going to start drinking more as needed. You could try the same if a gallon (3.8 litres) of milk seems like a lot to take in, in one day.
