3 Best Bodybuilding Workout Programmes

I have made a list of my the 3 best bodybuilding workout programmes (in my opinion) and a couple of others worth a mention.  If you are serious about adding on lean muscle mass, you need to follow a complete program.  Trying to ‘wing it’ or throw together a few bodybuilding workouts will not get you proper results.  You would not drive a car without learning how to drive.  So why try to build muscle without knowing how to?

Therefore I have listed the best bodybuilding workout programmes that will help you put on serious muscle, no matter your body type.

    1. Best Bodybuilding Workout Program, No.1 – Bodybuilding Revealed by Will Brink

Rating: ★★★★½

My Favourite Features:

  • Gives blueprint and knowledge to design your own workout routines
  • You get a great calories calculator to ensure you eat enough to put on muscle
  • There is also a great diet planner tool to combine with your calorie calculator
  • The private forum is arguable the best with great advice from experts and no ‘troll’s or arguing
  • Very truthful and comprehensive supplement section

Cons:

  • Beginners may not be satisfied with designing their own programmes (there are sample workouts for different body genetics)

Final Word:

Bodybuilding Revealed is my favourite muscle building program.  All the guess work is taken out and the author Will Brink is a real no-BS kind of guy, he tells it how it is, which is very refreshing in the internet age.  You can design your own workouts forever using this system, unlike most systems about today.

    2. Best Bodybuilding Workout Program No. 2 – No Nonsense Bodybuilding by Vince Del Monte

Rating: ★★★★☆

My Favourite Features:

  • Gives day to day workouts so it great for beginners and for people who just want to know exactly what to do
  • Has great online tools such as a meal planner and calorie calculator
  • Is great for skinny people and has got great results for hardgainers
  • Advanced training section has some great training techniques
  • Has been a top online best seller for months now

Cons:

  • The workouts are set in stone for 3 days a week, may not suit people who want to do more
  • Is dearer than some muscle building packages (twice the price of Bodybuilding Revealed)

Final Word:

No Nonsense Bodybuilding has been number 1 on the charts for some time now.  It has a lot of fancy bells and whistles to get it there, but to be fair it would not have stayed there for so long if it did not produce results.  I personally feel that you can get just as good information (or better) for a cheaper price.  Like Bodybuilding Revealed.

    3. Best Bodybuilding Workout Program No. 3 – Book Of Muscle by Ian King

Rating: ★★★★☆

My Favourite Features:

  • Written by Ian King who is one of the best trainers in the world.
  • Has 3 workout programmes for the beginner, intermediate and advanced trainee.
  • Has a great exercise library, which is great to refer to in a pinch (it is a physical book).

Cons:

  • You miss out on some tools you get with online packages so you have to work out your calorie requirements  and meals yourself.
  • Same again for the workout charts, you have to write them out (or photocopy them).

Final Word:

I personally like having a physical book to have close to hand.  You can open up and look up some exercises very easily.  The workouts are great and will have you putting on some real size.  They also correct any imbalances but you have to leave your pride at the door for the first 3 weeks of training.

Best Bodybuilding Workout Conclusion

I do not want to take up anymore of your time here, so I’ll give a quick run down on things. For the best information covering all bases I think Bodybuilding Revealed is the best bodybuilding workout package. It gives you more than enough information to construct a muscle building diet; structure and make you own muscle building workout routines; while also detailing everyother detail needed for mass muscle building.

Will Brink is also a very no BS, straight talking guy, which I find very refreshing as every man and his dog is trying to sell you their hyped up programmes these days.

The big question is what package above is best for you?

Well, that depends on your situation and preferences. I’d say to go with Bodybuilding Revealed for the most complete package and for something that will last a long time. Or if you are a complete beginner you may be best with No Nonsense Bodybuilding, which is a well put together package. If you prefer physical books, The Book Of Muscle would probably suit you best, as this is a great resource to add to your library.

1. Best Bodybuilding Workout Program, No.1 – Bodybuilding Revealed by Will Brink

Bodybuilding Revealed by Will Brink is my favourite bodybuilding program due to the amount of information and useable real world info given with the package. The author Will Brink studied at Harvard so is one smart cookie.

There are two training sections in the book: One is written by Will Brink which is more for beginners with less than 1 years training experience. The second section is by Charles Poliquin who is one of the best trainers in North America. His section is for more advanced bodybuilding techniques, which goes into detail how to structure your workouts and continually grow muscle and strength. This is one of the main reasons why this is my favourite muscle building books; because you are shown how to make your own training routines suited to your body type. Rather than just have a workout thrown at you and hope for the best.

Another reason why I think this is the best bodybuilding workout manual is the supplement section. Will Brink goes into detail on all the bodybuilding supplements and gives his honest unbiasde opinion on their effectiveness, which is back up with his scientific research. This chapter alone has saved me a bundle of money by not wasting money on hyped up worthless supplements.

There is a chapter on nutrition which includes all the best muscle building foods and how to eat to gain muscle mass. This is a crucial element of successful bodybuilding but often overlooked. There is also a sub chapter on pre and post-workout nutrition, which is beleived to be one of the most important aspects of muscle building nutrition.

The points I have talked about above form something I like to call the 3 pillars of muscle building. Without one of them in place you will not put on muscle, Bodybuilding revealed covers all 3 of them very nicely and certainly far better than my average IQ brainpower.

You do also get bonuses such as meal trackers for calorie intake and the like. To be honest I have not used them as much as I should, but they are there for you to use if they tickle your fancy. My favourite bonus you get is access to the private forum where Will Brink and a few other experts write on. You can get very good detailed answers on anything you wish here and get real world reviews on supplements, training programmes and anything you can think of.

So, all in all Will Brink’s Bodybuilding Revealed is (in my opinion) the best bodybuilding workout program available. I’ll not start marking out of ten or any of that nonsense here. I’ve put out my thoughts above for you to do with as you wish.

    2. Best Bodybuilding Workout Program No. 2 – No Nonsense Bodybuilding by Vince Del Monte

No Nonsense Bodybuilding by Vince Del Monte comes in at a close second on my best bodybuilding workout list. This is a hugely popular program and has been a best seller online for some time now. It is easy to see why, as Vince Del Monte is a champion Canadian natural bodybuilder, with a very slick package put together. All in all this is a very marketable program.

To be fair to Vince Del MOnte though, once you take away all the flash and hype, you can see that this is a solid package. Vince is a well educated guy himself who knows his stuff.

The training is laid out beat by beat for 3 months, right down how many sets and reps you will be doing on each individual day. This training section is for beginners and certainly is more detailed than the Bodybuilding Revealed beginners training section. There is also a bonus training section with some more advanced muscle building training methods. Perosnally I think Bodybuilding Revealed leaves you in a better position to make your own bodybuilding workout routine. But the bonus training in No Nonsnese Building is still good and focuses more on giant sets and crash sets, for some very intensive workouts.

No Nonsense Bodybuilding has a good solid nutrition chapter as well, with plenty of information on muscle building foods and how to structure you muscle building diet. Again there is a section on pre & post-training nutrition to make you more anabolic around your workouts.

The supplement section is not as detailed as Bodybuilding Reveleaved but advises you, how best to use supplements and what to avoid. So you get enough information to keep you on the straight and narrow in terms of muscle building supplements.

I’ve maybe been a bit harder on No Nonsense Bodybuilding than I have to be, especially as I keep comparing it to Bodybuilding Revealed. Which I think is the best bodybuilding workout program. But I am giving you my honest opinion here.

All in all, No Nonsense Bodybuilding is a good complete package. I think it is more for beginners, with a bonus section thrown in to keep more advanced guys happy. You would be best decided what stage of muscular developement you are at, then deciding from these top two, which program would suit you and get the best results.

    3. Best Bodybuilding Workout Program No. 3 – Book Of Muscle by Ian King

Book Of Muscle by Ian King is an actual book, rather than an online training package. I put this as my third best bodybuilding workout program, as this is my “go to” book, which is usually found on my coffee table. I like to have a physical book to have within reach around the house.

The training section is divided into 3 parts; for beginner, intermediate and advanced trainees, with each part lasting 3 months. The routines were made by Ian King who is a good sought after trainer from Australia. I love the training style in this book and you will probably discover more training techniques, you have never heard of in this book. The idea is to start at your level of training (quick hint: start lower than what level you think you are at). Then by the time you have finished all the training routines, you should be an advanced bodybuilder.

There is an excellent nutrition chapter which takes in all the usual stuff I have talked about including pre & post-exercise nutrition.  I should point out that there is a great chapter with muscle building exercises in this book. It is not necessarily any better than the the top 2 programmes, but as it is in physical book form it is a great reference to have, to grab a hold of when you need it.

Within Book Of Muscle there is also a very detailed section on the human body, listing and describing all the muscles. There is also detailed explanations of how your muscles are made up and other biological information. You may find it ineteresting or it may put you to sleep depending on your preferences. But it is there all the same if you wish to read it.
